Built right on the banks of the Linyanti River, on the border between Namibia and Botswana, you find Jackalberry Tented Camp.

 

This unique lodge has been built inside the Nkasa Rupara National Park (formerly known as Mamili National Park) and is completely unfenced.

 

The Nkasa Rupara National Park has large populations of wildlife roam freely. Many can be spotted from the decks of the multi- storey lodge built in and around the enormous Jackalberry tree.

 

The decks offer360°uninterrupted views sweeping across the flood plains of Namibia to the woodlands of Botswana just across the river.

3 Twin Chalets | Honeymoon Suite (1)

The 3 eco-friendly meru-styled safari tents are large and have been custom-built to accommodate approximately 32 sq m. These tents have been comfortably furnished with twin beds, electric lights, mosquito nets and en suite bathrooms.

The Honeymoon suite has been furnished to the same exacting standards at the other three tents, but boasts a double bed, instead of twin beds.

Because the lodge is built within the National Park, and is completely unfenced, no children under the age of 16 years are permitted.

All bookings must be for a minimum of two nights.

Game Drives to Nkasa Rupara National Park

Offering fantastic game viewing opportunities in total wilderness. Typical sightings may include Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Lion, Leopard, Impala, Kudu, Zebra, Wildebeest, Roan and Sable. Over 400 Bird Species recorded within the Park make the area a Birder’s Dream all year round.

JACKALBERRY TENTED CAMP is situated inside the Nkasa Rupara National Park (Mamili NP) entrance, 13km south-east of the Park main entrance of Shisintze.

From Rundu

Take the B8 east from Rundu to Kongola then turn right (south-east) on the tarred C49 road for about 70km.

Drive south on B8 for about 7km, then take C49 forabout110km (tarred up to Sangwali) From Sangwali drive 24km south. The Shisintze Ranger Station (MEFT) is on the Park boundary. Enter the park and drive in the direction of the Camp. Guests booked on DBB must pay their park fees.

A 4×4 is mandatory.

 

For clients who do not have 4×4 vehicles, transfers from Sangwali can be arranged, at an additional charge.

 

Travelling by Air: nearest airport is Mpacha (Katima Mulilo), or Kasane Airport. Transfers can be arranged from either airport, at an additional charge.
