CENTRAL HIGHLANDS

We work with a hand-picked selection of properties across the country.

Nestled in the unspoilt beauty of one of Namibia’s oldest game farms, a 12,000 hectare expanse of Namibian bushveld, sits Otjiwa. Otjiwa boasts three completely separate lodges, the luxurious Mountain Lodge, the superb Eagle’s Rest and the homely The Nest.

Otjiwa is home to at least 25 species of free-roaming game species, including white rhino, sable and roan offering guests excellent game viewing opportunities.

Otjiwa is renowned for the beautiful dams which entice a rich variety of bird life, including the African Fish Eagle, Marabou Stork and the illusive Secretary bird.

Otjiwa is situated close to the northern Namibian town of Otjiwarongo, making it an ideal place to break up the journey to (or indeed from) Etosha or the Caprivi.

In the local Herero language, Ohange means ‘peace’, which is exactly what you will find here. Ohange Lodge is designed to blend with the tranquillity of the natural surroundings of the Namibian bush.

Guests can choose to while away their time, watching nature’s television from the restaurant or patio, enjoy game drives on the reserve or join one of the experienced guides on a bumble in the bush, learning more about the intimate details of the bush, and spotting some unusual bird life along the way.

Home-styled meals are enjoyed at a large, outside dining table, beneath the twinkling night skies, whilst enjoying the abundant wildlife that frequents the floodlit waterhole.

Whether you are a keen ornithologist, or a photographer, Ohange Lodge is the destination for anyone seeking to make the most of the tranquillity for which Namibia is famous.

Each chalet is equipped with comfortable twin beds, tea and coffee facilities, ceiling fans and an en-suite bathroom.

The footpaths that link the chalets to the main area are lit at night, offering a very different perspective on the large Marula and Tamboti trees.
