Frans Indongo Lodge is located a convenient two and a half hours north of Windhoek, close to the stunning Waterberg Plateau National Park and the Cheetah Conservation Foundation.
The lodge itself sits on a 17,000 hectare private Namibian farm which boats a large variety of plains game, including wildebeest, springbok, oryx, giraffe and white rhino and from the viewing terrace at the restaurant, you can see some rarer game species coming down to the floodlit waterhole, whilst enjoying your dinner or sundowner drink.
The lodge has been tastefully built to incorporate aspects of traditional Owambo décor, including kraal-like wooden fencing and traditional clay pots. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the little brooks that run through the gardens ensure that they remain lush and green throughout the year.
For those who prefer to get out and stretch your legs, there are a number of walking trails, varying in distance from 90 minutes to 4 hours, ensuring that you have worked up an appetite for the sumptuous delights on offer from the restaurant.
